Holiday Order Deadlines for Made-to-Order Art (2026)

Holiday Order Deadlines for Made-to-Order Art (2026)

A gift that is made to order can't be pulled off a shelf on December 20. Every Kiyo Arts piece is printed and assembled after you buy it, which is what makes it yours, and it is also why the holiday deadline comes earlier than you might expect. Here are the dates for 2026.

The order-by dates

To have your order arrive by Wednesday, December 23:

Delivering to Order by
United States (contiguous 48 states) Thursday, December 3
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US territories Monday, November 16
International Friday, October 30

For Hanukkah, which begins on the evening of Friday, December 4, US orders should be placed by Thursday, November 12.

How we worked these out

The dates come straight from our shipping policy, using the slow end of every range:

  • Handling and production: 2–7 business days to print, assemble and quality-check each piece.
  • US delivery: 3–7 business days after dispatch.
  • Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US territories: up to 7–12 additional business days.
  • International delivery: 10–30 business days after dispatch, depending on the destination and customs.

Business days exclude weekends, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. We counted back from December 23 using the longest time in each range, so an order placed by the date above has the full window to arrive.

What if I miss the date?

Many orders arrive faster than the longest estimate. A US order that moves at typical speed, around five business days of production and five of delivery, would still arrive by December 23 if placed by about December 9. That is likely, not certain: production queues and carriers are both at their busiest in December, and neither is something we can speed up once your order is in.

If you are past December 3 and the gift has to be there on the day, the safer plan is to order anyway and put a printed picture of the piece in a card. A made-to-order gift that arrives on December 28 is still a better gift than a rushed substitute.

Canvas takes the longest

Canvas art sits at the longer end of the production range, because each one is printed and then stretched by hand over a pine frame. If you are choosing between formats and time is short, posters, desk mats, pins and keychains usually move through production faster. The dates above are safe for every product, canvas included.

Canvas pieces are stretched over a pine frame after printing, so they take longest to make.

Ordering more than one thing

Different products are made by different production partners. If you order a canvas and a desk mat together, they will probably ship separately and arrive on different days, each with its own tracking number. That is normal. If you are sending gifts to two different addresses, place two separate orders so each goes to the right place.

Gift ideas by budget

Prices below are starting prices at the time of writing.

Which formats arrive ready to give

Some products need nothing more than wrapping paper, and some need one extra step from the person receiving them. It is worth knowing which is which before you choose.

  • Canvas art arrives stretched on its frame with rubber wall bumpers already fitted. It can go on the wall the same day.
  • Framed posters arrive in a solid wood frame with hanging hardware included.
  • Unframed posters are prints only. They suit someone who already has frames or likes to pin art up, but if you want the gift to feel finished, choose the framed version.
  • Tapestries, desk mats, tees, pins and keychains are ready to use out of the package.

Sending a gift straight to someone

You can enter the recipient's address as the shipping address at checkout and keep your own as the billing address. Two things to plan for: the tracking emails go to the email address on the order, which is yours, so you will be the one who knows when it lands; and made-to-order packages are not gift-wrapped, so tell the recipient a parcel is coming if you want it saved for the day.

Before you check out

  • Check the address. A package can't be redirected once it has shipped.
  • Check the size. Clothing is custom made in the size you select and can't be exchanged, so confirm it before ordering.
  • Order changes are time-limited. Production starts soon after you order. If you need to change something, contact us straight away.
  • International buyers: customs duties and taxes are charged by the destination country and paid by the recipient. If the gift is going abroad, let them know to expect that.

If something arrives damaged

Email Cameren@kiyoarts.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item and its packaging. The full process is in our return and refund policy, and we walk through it step by step in what happens if my order arrives damaged.

The short version
